Welcome to Year 3!
We have an exciting term planned and cannot wait to get started this half term as we start our Year 3 journey.
Should you have any concerns please contact your child’s teacher at the earliest possibility so we can address any problems together.
Miss Gilbert - Ash Class Teacher
Miss Edwards and Mrs Dell - Oak Class Teachers
Mrs Hickmans, Mrs Hickman, Mrs Taylor and Mr Walker - Y3 Support Staff
Journeys - this term, we will be learning about Journeys.
We hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter break; we're missing you all so much and it’s been lovely to still see you on photos and videos.
Tomorrow is the start of our new term = SUMMER TERM!!!
So we would have been starting a new topic called JOURNEYS! Over the next week, can you create something linked to the word ‘Journey’? It could be a picture, painting, graffiti words saying journey, Lego, a dance representing what journey means to you, a song/poem/rap etc. Anything you like.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Don’t forget to send us your photos and videos on seesaw, by email or on our twitter page
Please bring PE kits in a named bag - they will stay in school for the half term.
Outdoor P.E kit required - outdoor trainers, House P.E. top, tracksuit bottoms, waterproof top etc.)
Indoor P.E - House P.E tops, blue/black shorts and indoor trainers/pumps are needed.
Y3 PE days are Tuesday and Friday.
To help develop children’s fluency in mathematics, we ask them to learn Key Instant Recall Facts each half term.
These lists of KIRFs have been created to align with the new curriculum. They are intended to be challenging and it is intended that children will be taught the necessary maths in lessons beforehand.
