Swimming

In 2021/22, by the end of July 2022:

54 children, (88%), from Y6 could swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres;
54 children, (88%), from Y6 could use a range of strokes effectively;
54 children, (88%), from Y6 could perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situation.

 

In 2021/22, by the end of July 2022:

52 children, (87%), from Y6 could swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres;
52 children, (87%), from Y6 could use a range of strokes effectively;
51 children, (85%), from Y6 could perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situation.

In 2020/21, we did not attend swimming lessons due to Covid-19 restriction at the venue.

In 2019/20, by the end of July 2020: (COVID-19 disrupted lessons between March and July)

39 children, (65%), from Y6 could swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres;
36 children, (60%), from Y6 could use a range of strokes effectively;
18 children, (30%), from Y6 could perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situation.

In 2018/19, by the end of July 2019:

56 children, (95%), from Y6 could swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres;
56 children, (95%), from Y6 could use a range of strokes effectively;
56 children, (95%), from Y6 could perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situation.

In 2017/18, by the end of July 2018:

37 children, (62%), from Y6 could swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres; 
25 children, (42%), from Y6 could use a range of strokes effectively;
33 children, (55%), from Y6 could perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situation.
