The Skills Toolkit is a new online platform giving access to free, high quality digital and numeracy courses to help people build up their skills and boost employability across the country. You can access the website here.

Please don’t forget Walsall's Online Parenting programmes are also available for free to anybody living in Walsall with a caring role for children – grandparents, parents, carers etc.  A new Online programme is due to be added shortly to an online package of programmes that focuses on family relationships. Walsall College has a number of short training courses for people aged 19+ who are currently unemployed to help them get back into *work with many coming with a guaranteed job interview!

Our courses are in a variety of areas and take place at either our Hawbush Campus in Leamore or our Pioneer House Campus in Cannock! Take a look below at the list of short courses available:

Our Hawbush Campus is easily accessible via buses number 31, 32 and X51 from either Walsall town centre or Bloxwich, while our Pioneer House Campus is a short walk from both Cannock train station and bus station. Free car parking is available at our Hawbush Campus, whilst car parking is limited at our Pioneer House Campus.

If you have other commitments that mean you might need to leave the lessons slightly earlier or attend slightly later, you can always discuss that with our tutors before signing up for the course.

**our ‘Introduction to Working in Retail’ course does not have a guaranteed job interview but it does give you a head start when applying for vacancies with McArthurGlen Group

***our ‘Warehousing/Forklift Truck Licence’ course does not come with a guaranteed job interview
